Publisher: Kingsoft Office Software Corporation Limited. Older iPhone listings used id 609397708; Mac companion listings use a different id. Check the developer name, not the icon clone.
iPad as a laptop replacement
WPS markets PC-level editing, Pencil optimization, and multi-window. That is credible for annotation, slide tweaks, and light sheets. Heavy financial models still belong on a 64-bit desktop. Stage Manager plus a keyboard case is the comfortable path.
Files app and iCloud
Enable WPS in the Files browser. Drag a DOCX from iCloud into WPS, edit, export PDF, share to Teams. If a file is “stuck downloading,” it is iCloud, not Writer.
Signing PDFs on iOS
The comment/sign tools match what we show in the PDF chapter. Premium often gates unlimited e-sign and convert. For a single landlord form, the free path may still work; for a weekly stack of contracts, budget for Premium or a dedicated signer.
Continuity with Mac
Same WPS account on Mac and iPad is how File Roaming is supposed to feel. iMessage is not a document database — do not mail yourself v27 of a thesis.
App Store listing
Kingsoft’s iPhone/iPad app (id 609397708) is the official one. Review snapshots around 4.8 stars in Gizmodo’s August 2026 roundup. Confirm the publisher before you tap Get.
Apple Pencil and iPad windows
Markup a PDF, sketch a figure, drop it into Writer. Multi-window on iPad is real enough for a cafe edit; it is not a 32:9 desktop. Export PDF before a lightning-adapter presentation if the room PC has no WPS.
Files app and iCloud
Open from Files so you do not grow a second copy inside the app sandbox. Same-account Cloud still applies. Cloud · other drives.
