Pick a home for active files
WPS Cloud is what File Roaming expects. Google Drive is what a lot of classes already use. Dropbox is what some studios never left. OneDrive is what 365 tenants force. Choose one as the live folder. Archive the rest.
Connectors inside WPS
Sign in to Drive/Dropbox from the WPS account pane if your build offers it. Open the file from that pane, not by downloading a copy to Desktop every morning. Downloads-to-Desktop is how “which version is true?” starts.
Quotas
WPS free cloud is small (about 1 GB on public tables). Photographed PDFs fill it in a week. Premium around 20 GB is still not Microsoft’s 1 TB class. Large video archives belong on Drive or a disk, not in WPS Cloud. Pricing walls · sync guide.
Conflict copies
Two devices offline will spawn conflicted copies. Keep the larger one, diff carefully, delete the ghost. Real-time co-edit needs both sides online. Google Docs still wins if five people must type at once. Compare.
Linux Snap
If USB and second disks are invisible, it may be Snap confinement, not Drive. Connect removable-media on Snap or switch to Deb. Linux.
Privacy
A shared Drive link is a postcard. Named people, not “anyone with the link,” for HR and grades. Safety notes.
